Deliver and set up RB's workstation. Workstation not receiving IP address from DHCP server. Reseating network cable on computer did not work. Checked server for DHCP server. DHCP not installed. Checked SonicWall for DHCP server. DHCPv4 is not enabled. Ran ipconfig /all on Linda's workstation to confirm that EMI is not using a DHCP server and is using static IP addresses. Downloaded and installed Angry IP Scanner to scan for IP addresses not in use. Manually set RB's workstation network settings to: IP: 192.168.2.100; Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0; Default Gateway: 192.168.2.254; DNS1: 192.168.2.250; DNS2: 8.8.8.8. Added workstation to EMIW.SRV domain. Installed Xerox AltaLink C8045 printer with old printer driver from old EMI computers. Printed test page to verify that RB can print. Opened Microsoft Office 2007 Word to verify it opens. Installed Adobe Acrobat Reader for Windows 7. Could not install Adobe Acrobat Reader due to error saying missing core files. Reinstalling program and repairing program did not work. Was advised to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader and to make sure PDFs are able to be opened by Google Chrome. Opened several PDFs with Google Chrome to verify they are able to be opened. Gave RB's old hard drive and his user profile login credentials to Linda as RB is currently not in the office.
