Troubleshoot Heather's IP phone. Replicated issue of phone randomly shutting down. Phone screen showed signs of electrical interference. Tested cable. Cable passed the test. Determined cable shorted Heather's IP phone due to wires not cut properly in the connectors used. Replaced IP phone and connected Heather's current accessories to refurbished phone. Terminated another cable and replaced cable connecting Heather's old IP phone to cable box. IP phone boots up properly. Had Heather test IP phone. Verified it works properly.
